Silvia Capezzuoli

Silvia Capezzuoli

Senior Associate Consultant

Silvia is a social development specialist and has been a senior consultant with IMA International since 2003. She specialises in monitoring and evaluation, participation, gender and communication and has extensive experience in training course design and delivery. Her overseas experience includes education training in Indonesia, and NGO project management in East Africa and West Africa. Before joining IMA, Silvia worked for the international NGO ACORD, managing projects, running participatory workshops with local partners and facilitating the development of numerous ACORD Africa-based policies. She has also worked as an adult education tutor for the University of Sussex in the UK.

Anthea Dickie

Anthea Dickie

Senior Associate Consultant

Anthea Dickie is a highly experienced M&E Adviser, currently working as Programme Manager for a DFID funded Policy Development Facility in Nigeria. She was formerly Programme Director of the EC funded Support to Reforming Institutions Programme also in Nigeria. Her experience in Nigeria dates back to the 1970’s when she was an Agricultural Officer based in Sokoto. Anthea has an MPhil in Agricultural Economics and more than 30 years’ experience in sub-Saharan Africa working in public sector institutional development and capacity building, primarily in the agriculture sector, but also with local government and in public financial management reform. She worked for 13 years in Zambia, and has also worked in Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda and the UK.

Giulio Ghirardo

Giulio Ghirardo

Lead Consultant - Project Management

Giulio comes from a programme management background. He worked in Kenya (2005-2010) mainly in Tharaka and Isiolo districts developing and managing health programmes in HIV/AIDS and reproductive health. During his work in Kenya he conducted a one year Participatory Action Research project studying the cultural perception of health of Borana pastoralist community in Merti Division (Kenya). His interest and skills include, health related issues, Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation, Participatory Approaches , Capacity Development. His focus is mainly on local communities involvement in development programmes with particular interest in the way local communities are already solving their own problems.
He holds an MA in Participation, Power and Social Change from IDS.

Chris Grose

Chris Grose

Managing Director

Chris Grose joined IMA International as a Senior Consultant in 1997 after 8 years working as a training and extension specialist in Nepal and Bangladesh. He became Managing Director of IMA in 2001 and has overseen a growing international team working on capacity development initiatives since that time.

Today, Chris’ primary role is in business development and strategic partnerships. When training and consultaing, his interests lie in organisational assessment and development, particularly in post-conflict and fragile states. Chris has overseas experience in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Uganda.

Mick Howes

Mick Howes

Senior Consultant

Mick Howes is a former IDS Fellow and has worked in 17 countries. He is a Social Development specialist with a particular interest in rural and participatory development and NGOs. He has recently completed a study of Community-led Total Sanitation for DFID, and an evaluation of a Practical Action project in Bangladesh. He has also helped develop IMA’s increasingly popular Results Based M&E Systems workshop.

Lead Consultant • People Skills

Based in our New York office, Linzi Moore is an organisational development consultant, with a particular focus on facilitation and soft skills. She has consulted for organisations in over 15 countries across the public and private sector,including UN agencies such as WFP and UNDP, NGOs such as Christian Aid and Technoserve, and global companies such as GRM International, BASF and Citi Bank.

has worked in over 30 countries and has three degrees in social sciences.

Lesley Williams

Lesley Williams

Senior Associate Consultant

Lesley specialises in organisational development and capacity-building, including training needs analysis (TNA), capacity development plans, M&E training and evaluations, as well as competency-based training and gender mainstreaming. She has cross-sectoral experience in rural development, aquaculture, education, health, and government development programmes in South Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Afghanistan.

Her recent contracts include conducting a TNA and designing a Capacity Development Plan for a West African regional integration organisation; International M&E Advisor to an ADB-funded government health programme in Indonesia; the facilitation of Mid-term Programme Planning for a large REDD Programme in Indonesia; and developing a draft planning, and M&E framework for the Ministry of Women’s Development of Pakistan.

Lesley comes to the development sector with a strong practical and academic background in capacity-building, research, planning and evaluation. She was formerly a Director (BoD) of a State education company, appointed by the New Zealand Government during a period of State sector reform, as well as a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management and Marketing in New Zealand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Lesley holds a Trained Teacher’s Certificate and Diploma (Merit), a Doctorate based on micro-enterprises in developing countries, and a first Class Honours Degree in Commerce (gender and SME development). She is an avid reader, gardener, pet owner, and collector of traditional weaving. She also loves cycling and swimming when time allows.

Orn-Anong Vasuratna

Course Administrator, Southeast Asia

Orn-Anong Vasuratna, based in Bangkok, has worked with us since 2005. Her background is in natural resources and environment, and she has worked in NGOs and public sector. When Orn is not working for IMA, she works as a freelance
translator and interpreter, and runs a 'Nature Stay centre' in Northern Thailand.

Sarah Greenslade

Sales and Marketing Co ordinator

Sarah joined IMA International in August 2012. She has wide experience of managing government advertising campaigns. She lived in Nepal for three years and Uganda for one year (2006-2010) working as a volunteer on communications campaigns for INGOs and UN agencies. Her role is to increase attendance on IMA International's scheduled courses and promote the tailored training and consultancy packages.

Clare joined IMA in January 2012 as our finance officer.

Leigh Dowsett

Leigh Dowsett

Project Administrator

Leigh Dowsett is our Project Administrator. She provides administration support as well as general operational assistance and works closely with the Course and Marketing Co-ordinators. Leigh has an MSc in Anthropology, Environment and Development, as well as a first class degree in Anthropology.

Kimberley Anscombe

Kimberley Anscombe

Kimberly has a BA in European Studies and Spanish. She spent time teaching English and travelling in Colombia as well as a year working in an international language centre in Colombia; which ignited her passion in Latin American culture. Since graduating, she has worked for an International Language School and joined IMA international in May 2013. As Project Administrator, Kimberley also provides administrative assistance and operational support.
